re: passion vs. love by piggy

dear internet,
do humans need a relationship all that much if he/she has passions in life? passions (tennis; history; music - whatever you couldn't live without, as opposed to casual hobbies/interests) will make you happy, will be there whenever you want, will keep you sane during retirement and generally balance life out. whereas a boyfriend's job is not to make you happy (unless you're a needy, dependent ho) and they often fail anyway because we're not perfect. what's the answer?
