dear internet,

now, i move around a lot. as such, i have friends all over the world. sometimes, i lose touch with those friends for a long time... years, even. sometimes when we get back in contact its like nothing ever changed, sometimes its like everything changed and we are no longer friends, and sometimes we never get back in contact.

what bugs me is when i try to initiate some contact with old friends and never even hear back.

how long would you go without contact (that you initiated) before writing off someone who you used to call "friend"?
